Training  focuses  on  network  infrastructure,  sustainability,  local \ncontent development, and policy and regulation. <br><br>\nThe first National School was implemented in <strong>2022<\/strong>, bringing together participants from \ncommunities across Kenya. Ongoing mentorship was organized through Communities of \nPractice, complemented by in-territory support and a microgrant programme that enabled \nparticipating organizations to develop locally driven connectivity initiatives.\n<br> \n<br><\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cnlearning.apc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/photo_2023-05-06-17.48.10.jpeg\" width=\"50%\" style=\"float: left; margin: 3px 20px 0 0\">\n<p>\nBuilding on this experience, <strong>Tanda and AFRALTI<\/strong> launched the <strong>Fibre Fellowship<\/strong> in \n<strong>2024<\/strong>,  a  hands-on  programme  designed  to  strengthen  grassroots  capacity  in  planning, \ndeploying, and maintaining fibre optic infrastructure for community networks.<br><br> \nSince then, capacity-building efforts have continued to evolve, reaching communities and \ninstitutions across the country through technical training, peer learning, mentorship, and \ncurriculum development.<br><br>\nIn <strong>2025<\/strong>, these experiences informed the development of Kenya's <strong>national Community-\nCentred  Connectivity  Institutions  (CCCI)  strategy<\/strong>,  where  capacity  building  was \nestablished  as  a  core  strategic  pillar.
