Public Consultation – UAS Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and Proposed UAS Projects for 2023

The National Information and Communications Technology Act 2009\’s Universal Access and Service (UAS) regime is executed by NICTA, comprising the UAS Fund, Board, and Secretariat. UAS is vital to the government’s digital transformation. The draft UAS Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and Proposed UAS Projects for 2023 are presented to stakeholders for consultation. The Strategic Plan outlines objectives, the planning framework, and three strategic Initiatives: Broadband, Meaningful Connectivity, and Broadcasting. The Initiatives aim to expand broadband coverage, enhance ICT utilization, and improve broadcasting services. The consultation focuses on key areas and expected outcomes of the UAS implementation, aligning with the government’s digital goals.
