Report by the ITU Secretary-General

The ITU Secretary-General’s report highlights the Sixth World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum 2021 (WTPF-21), established by the ITU to foster global dialogue on emerging telecom/ICT services. The forum focuses on new digital technologies like AI, IoT, 5G, and Big Data for sustainable development. While non-binding opinions will be generated, the WTPF-21 won’t produce regulatory outcomes. Its aim is to encourage shared perspectives and policies among policymakers worldwide for advancing the digital economy and addressing challenges.
