The eighth World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-22) by ITU took place in Kigali, Rwanda, aiming to bridge the digital divide. President Paul Kagame emphasized the need for equitable digital access. The Kigali Declaration and Action Plan were adopted, focusing on universal connectivity and sustainable digital transformation. Pioneering initiatives like the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit and Partner2Connect were featured.
